Meet your instructors
Chris Penn
Chris has been living tiny since March of 2010. A few weeks before graduating from college, he purchased a Ford Econoline van, outfitted it with simple cabinets, and traveled with his husky for a few months. Since then, he has lived and traveled in three other rigs. He currently lives and travels full time in a 2002 Blue Bird school bus conversion that was specifically built to live off of the grid for months at a time on public land.
Allison Shea
Ally has been living tiny since January of 2018. She has twin boys, Bodhi and River who were two at the time they moved in. Ally decided to go tiny, hired the first builder she met with and ended up with a beautiful and functional tiny home. She’s grateful and also passionate about helping others get into this lifestyle with more knowledge than she had.
Laurén Ettinger
Laurén has been living tiny since October of 2018. After two and a half years living in her Ram ProMaster van full time with her dog, Penny, she now splits her time between traveling in her van and living at her small farm in western North Carolina. Before transitioning to a tiny lifestyle, Laurén lived in a large apartment in Washington, DC, and spent most of her days at her 9-5 job.

When does the course start and end?
The course is completely self-paced and you can take as long as you need to complete it. Plus, you can skip around and learn whatever you're in the mood for, there is no forced order or required sections to complete.
What is included in the course?
More than 60 instructional videos led by our 5 instructors, many featuring insights from other tiny dwellers and examples from our 500+ tours of tiny spaces on YouTube. We've also created 6 downloadable workbooks packed full of information and exercises + useful items like budget templates and checklists. You'll also have access to our private Circle group where you can connect with other people in the course, share your experiences, and ask questions. Lastly, we'll host live 90-minute question and answer sessions where you can engage directly with the instructors.
How long will this take me?
That's completely up to you! Most video lessons are between 5-20 minutes long though there are more in-depth modules (in particular, the section on mobile income and finances) that include classes that are an hour or more. The course is completely self-paced, which means you can take as little or as much time as you need. As far as your tiny living journey is concerned, in our experience, one year is a pretty average time to transition from a traditional lifestyle into a tiny one!
Is this course right for me?
