Solo Female Transforms a $1,900 Vintage RV into a Gorgeous Tiny Home on Wheels

Jessy, known on Instagram as @a.girl.and.her.commander, has been living on the road in her DIY renovated RV since 2017. After purchasing her 24’ 1978 Dodge Commander in 2016, Jessy lovingly rehabilitated her vintage rig for over a year. With no prior knowledge or experience renovating an RV, she learned carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and vehicle maintenance. Jessy is one of the most tenacious and inspiring women on the road, we hope you enjoy watching her tiny home tour as much as we enjoyed filming it.

Jessy can frequently be found in beautiful, wild spaces and keeps her costs low by staying in one place for a long time.

Jessy travels with her cat, Moonchi

Based on her years of experience on the road, Jessy provides one-on-one coaching for those looking to join the nomadic lifestyle. She is deeply empathetic and a wonderful resource for anyone looking to dig into the nitty-gritty of renovating an RV, living on the road, and so much more.

She also has created an extremely helpful guide called "Vanlife: Your Guide to Becoming a Modern Nomad." It can be purchased here on her website.

To see and read more about Jessy and Moonchi's life on the road check her out on Instagram and at her website.
